Ever since I moved to Canada, my social life has gone from 'Out and about on the regular' to 'Do I even make it home sometimes?'. Lol just kidding, my mum is probably reading this and booking flights to come here to get my ass in to order. #sorrynotsorry
Considering the amount of alcohol my liver has consumed in the past few months, and showing up to work the other Friday not sober one bit (we had our work Christmas party the night before), I thought it would be a good idea to surprise my liver & start eating and drinking more healthy food/drinks. (This didn't last long because the next night I went out again, but the effort still counts!).
I'm not going to lie, I'm no expert with nutrition, but I figured there would be no harm in having apple and strawberry flavored water, and then picking out the fruit and eating it after all the water is gone.
1/2 Apple cut in quarters
5 - 6 Strawberries Halved
Ice as you please
* Add cucumber if you have it too
It's friken refreshing and tastes good :D. Also makes you feel less guilty of your life choices made through Friday - Sunday lol.
Sometimes after a workout at the gym, I have all this motivation to eat healthy for the rest of the day, week, month, and year (never really lasts long though), so when I made this shake I added 1/2 a frozen banana, almond milk because my tummy does not co-operate with normal milk (tmi? lol), and some dark chocolate cut up to sprinkle on top. As I was about to blend this up, I noticed the bottle of baileys staring at me and calling my name; I swear it was meant to be, so i poured in some baileys, didn't bother measuring how much because it's so yum, probably just a few drops ;)
You can even add peanut butter to this!
1/2 Large frozen/chilled banana
2/3 C Almond milk (i just used a bit under 2/3)
3 squares of dark Chocolate - 80%
Baileys - Few generous drops
This is a perfect freshly squeezed juice to make if you feel like something refreshing and healthy! But it is jam packed with fructose so don't have it too often.
Originally i was planning on adding honey dew to it as well but i managed to drop it on the floor as i was taking it out of the fridge :(
All you need to do is add any fruit you have, maybe throw in some ice, and blend! I just added watermelon and 1 Apple. I used about 4 Table spoon of watermelon, i was just scooping it out! Throw in a mint leaf as well for a bit of a hit if ya feel like being a bit fancy.
